The ReRode RX is a midsize electric dirt bike we’ve been especially excited to see come to market because it checks a lot of the boxes we’ve been asking for in this category.

Rather than simply chasing a huge peak-power number, ReRode built the RX around dimensions and components that make sense for a true off-road midsize eMoto. You get a 21/18 wheel setup, a 35.8-inch seat height, a 55.1-inch wheelbase, and a gearbox motor. Those are all things we look for when trying to bridge the gap between the smaller lightweight eMoto platforms and a full-size electric dirt bike.

Power comes from a 97V 45Ah battery paired with a PMSM motor producing up to 35kW of peak power. ReRode claims 790 Nm of rear-wheel torque and a top speed of up to 78 mph, giving the RX plenty of performance to match its larger chassis.

We’re also happy to see the RX come from the factory with a proper 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup. Combined with RFloXa suspension, 260mm of front travel, and its longer wheelbase, the RX should feel much closer to a traditional dirt bike than many of the smaller eMotos on the market.

At 35.8 inches, the seat height is another big part of why this bike interests us. It gives the RX more room and a more substantial riding position without pushing all the way into the roughly 37-inch-plus seat heights commonly found on full-size dirt bikes.

Overall, the RX looks like a promising combination of power, battery capacity, dirt-bike geometry, and manageable size. We’re excited about this platform because it feels like ReRode is paying attention to the same things we believe matter in the next generation of midsize eMotos—not just more power, but better proportions, proper wheels, a gearbox motor, usable suspension, and a chassis designed around actual off-road riding.
