So, you’ve tried every mountain bike shock under the sun and they just aren’t cutting it. Why?
Because most MTB shocks simply aren’t built for the demands of high-power e-motos like the SurRon Light Bee.
The EBMX x YSS Custom Rear Shock has been developed specifically for the SurRon’s unique suspension kinematics—with real spring rates, real oil volume, and real performance under real riding conditions. Whether you’re racing, sending jumps, or riding long technical trails, this is the shock you need.
It’s all in the oil. Shock size matters—especially under heat. When oil heats up, it thins out and starts to cavitate, compromising both compression and rebound. The larger the oil volume, the longer your damping stays consistent.
That’s why we worked with YSS to build a proper moto-grade shock, not a glorified mountain bike shock. Tuned by experts and tested by riders who push hard, the EBMX shock delivers unmatched bottom-out resistance, better heat control, and precision tuning—all with the durability to back it up.

Why the Custom Linkage Matters
The EBMX shock has a longer eye-to-eye length than stock, and requires the included custom rear linkage and triangle to maintain proper travel and alignment. This also adds reinforcement and pairs perfectly with the extended EBMX swingarm for maximum rear end performance.
Spring Rate Sizing Chart
All spring recommendations are for trail riding. For jumping or extreme enduro, consider going up 1–2 spring weights.
