Why Encoders Matter (vs Hall Sensors)

Unlike many competitors using basic hall sensors, the XLB-60 uses encoder sensors to provide more reliable, real-time rotor position data at all speeds. Here's why that matters:

• Increased Accuracy: Encoders deliver precise rotor angle data at all times, unlike hall sensors which estimate position after ~2000 RPM.

• Better Low-End Torque: More consistent data improves torque control when launching or crawling.

• Eliminates Current Spikes: Prevents erratic behavior during sudden decel or throttle changes — a common problem with hall sensor setups.

• Improved Controller Protection: Reduces likelihood of controller trips or power cutouts under extreme riding loads.

• Smoother, More Predictable Powerband: Perfect for technical terrain or competitive riding.

Note: Although this motor is optimized for the EBMX X-9000 controller, it can be used with other controllers — but custom tuning will likely be required.

(Assuming 20S / 22S battery with 400A BMS)
